Myatt Family

These pages refer to John Miot (Myatt) and his relatives. He was
born in 1726 in England and came to the US where he settled in North
Carolina. John Myatt fathered a large family and they migrated on
to Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi and other places. It seems that
today Myatt descendents can be found in all states.
Wade Taylor spent considerable time on these Myatt family webpages
and we owe a great debt of gratitude to him, Tex Myatt, H. David Myatt
and other researchers who have contributed to them.

After much consideration, I have arrived at a compromise solution
for information on people who are still living. This is an ongoing
debate in geneaology circles and is no different for the Myatt family.
I have decided to list people, but not give dates of birth due to
concerns about identity theft. People who are deceased are listed
with full information as we know it.
I often get notes from people asking me for additional information
about someone. EVERYTHING we have gathered is available on these pages,
other than the dates as mentioned above. These pages are a conglomeration
of considerable research by a number of people and we are continually
adding to them. If you have something to add to these pages, I'd be
