In his email of September 13, 2002, Bob Williams
remarked:
"The Pictures: These were taken yesterday
after cleaning and placing the signs. The pix with the STOP sign
is on John Adams Rd. looking east with the Mark Myatt place directly
over the top of the sign. You see the intersection sign of Old
Stage and John Adams [Roads] just to the right of the STOP. Old
Stage is the paved road going left to right. (Before it was paved
and straightened, Old Stage curved around in front of Mark Myatt's home
where he had a stage stop. This curve shows clearly on the
maps. The large sign directs you off of John Adams, a smaller one
up the driveway directs you to the left, and then the one directing you
through the edge of the woods. When the initial cleaning was done
two years ago, we had to go to the left at the top of what is now a
driveway. If I had known that the neighbor was going to clean the
driveway, we could have gone straight through at the top of which ...the
original entrance road went."
