26. MARTHA ANN MYATT, was born in 1953 in Mississippi, to Joseph Henry Myatt and Nancy E. Webb Myatt. Nancy died in 1858 when Martha was about 5 and Joseph died in 1860 when she was about 7. She had four brothers; Charles W., Robert A. (my GGF), Joseph W. and John M. Robert Webb, a brother of Nancy, was given custody of all five children after Joseph Henry died.

All four of her brothers went to Texas prior to 1870, and settled there permanently. She stayed in Mississippi with the Webbs and the last record I have of her is in the 1870 Federal Census, living in Kosciusko in the household of R. O. (Robert) and M. A. (Matilda) Webb and listed as "At School." She would have been about 17 at that time.

I have a note in my files from another "cuzzin" that says she might have married a man named Hinkle, but the person who furnished that information does not know where he got it. I have chased every possible Hinkle I can find but have not positively identified any of them as Martha Ann. I had planned on going to Attala County, Ms. and wading through old records to see if I could locate her but health problems have curtailed those plans. From: Ron Myatt - added here Aug. 29, 2008

25. James Hardy Myatt (8/2/1853-7/22/1912) married Permelia Emily Sholar (1/4/1858-8/17/1947). James Hardy Myatt was my great grandfather and the marriage took place in Arkansas. We have never been able to trace his parents (don't have names). I would appreciate any information you have or can find on James Hardy Myatt. Thank you.
