Myatt Mailing List
The Myatt Mailing List is open to anyone, anywhere, researching the
name Myatt or any of its variant spellings such as Miot, Miatt, Miate,
etc. It is open to researchers of any Myatt line regardless of country
of origin and not restricted to the descendants of John Myatt, Sr
of North Carolina. The occasional discussion of related, lateral lines
is welcome. To subscribe to the Myatt Mailing List, follow the directions
below for the method you desire to receive postings.
Please note that the difference between "Letter" and "Digest"
modes is that in Letter mode, you receive each individual posting
as it is made. In Digest mode, individual letters are accumulated
and sent to you in a batch. Mail volume is very low making digests
infrequent. It is, therefore, suggested that you subscribe to "Letter"
mode to prevent delays in receiving postings to the Myatt Mailing
List.
After your subscription has been processed at RootsWeb, you will
receive a "Welcome Letter" from us detailing information
about belonging to the Myatt Mailing List. Print it out and keep it,
it contains important information. Patsy Terrell has assumed management
of the Myatt Mailing List. Should any problems arise, please contact
her at: patsyterrell@gmail.com.
1. Letter Mode. Send an EMail to Rootsweb
at: Myatt-L-Request@rootsweb.com. In the body of the message, type
the single word "subscribe" without the quotation marks.
The subject line can contain the word "subscribe", but do
not put RE in front of subscribe, i.e. "RE: Subscribe".
It is preferred that the subject line be blank if your Internet Provider
allows blank subject lines. If you use a signature script, you must
turn it off.
2. Digest Mode. Send an EMail to Rootsweb
at: Myatt-D-Request@rootsweb.com. In the body of the message, type
